Extinct BirdCam: Dodo
This is the world's first extinct BirdCam! I invented it! Dodos lived on Maritius. People killed shot the Dodos. Rats brought by them ate eggs. Pigs devistated their habitats. And so the Dodo went extinct.
Extinct BirdCam: Great Auk
Great auks are an extinct bird in the puffin family. They lived on the rocky shores of the east coast. Audubon painted them. They were well built well for swimming, but they could not fly with their heavy bodies and stubby wings. People would drag them onto boats and beat them to death so they could sell the bodies for meat and stuff. When they became rare, scientists killed them as "rare specimens." That is how the Great Auk went extinct.
Extinct BirdCam: Stephen's Island Wren
Stephens Island Wrens were a flightless wren that lived in New Zealand. They went extinct due to deforestation and introduced animals. There are two birds in this one!
Extinct BirdCam: North Island Giant Moa
The North Island Giant Moa was one of the tallest, largest birds ever. Some individuals stood fourteen feet high. It lived on New Zealand. When people came a few thousand years ago, they were wiped out due to invasive animals, hunting, and loss of habitat. This Moa is just one of many flightless birds to go extinct.
