Monticello Park: Best Birding Spot

If you live in the DC area, don't miss Monticello park this spring! A small, but famous park in Alexandria becomes filled with birders and nature lovers every spring to watch the migrant songbirds come through. The park is also famous to many birds because of its tall trees, great shelter and food, and shallow, soft-flowing stream. The dozens of migrant flocks stay from late-April to late-May. Not only does the park boast the birds, it also has very attractive plants. Mayflowers, other shrubs and flowering plants are also very active during the spring.
