Meet the World's largest songbird!

I just saw the Common Raven species for the first time today. He was trying to get at my bird feeder, but he failed. Eventually he flew off. But he was HUGE! I mean like two feet! But that's not a surprise because the Common Raven is one of the world's largest songbird, rivaling only the Thick-billed Raven in Africa. They are dispersed across the US, and the best way to tell the difference between them and crows is by the shape of the tail. Crows have more curved tails, whearas Raven tails are more wedge-shaped. Ravens are generally larger than crows, so if someone spots a black bird and says: "Boy, that's HUGE!", then it is more likely to be a Common Raven. Ravens can live to forty, about twenty years longer than crows. They are, like other corvids, very intelligent, and numerous studies have shown how ingenious they are.
