Bird Feeders
There are a lot of hungry chicks to be fed! Why not help the birds by putting up a small window bird feeder? Here are some of my tips on putting up bird feeders:
1. Try to keep it in a position where squirrels can't jump on the feeder.
2. Put it in a window you look out of often so you can watch the birds (don't worry, the birds won't get scared.)
3. The best seeds to use are safflower seeds (because squirrels don't like them) and sunflower seeds.
4. Make sure to only use pure seeds, not mixed with dyes or millet.
5. Try to get a feeder that is non-toxic so you'll be helping the birds rather than hurting them.
6. Watch the feeder often as the birds begin to discover it!
7. Put up a birdbath as well! During these hot summer days, the birds will come all the time!
I hope this helps! There are plenty of durable but cheap bird feeders out there, so please take a look at them!
