Nighthawks

On September 4th at the US Air Force Memorial, I met up with one of my bird clubs and we looked for nighthawks. We were very lucky - We saw seven Common Nighthawks looking for insects! The nighthawks are migrating through, so they aren't here all the time. Because there were lights shining into the sky, we could see the nighthawks pretty clearly, even thought they were high up.
